Telephone arrangements to facilitate early return to work can be performed by contacting the employer and injured employee. If the employee is not returning to the time of injury job as he or she lacks the physical capacity to perform the essential tasks many times the job can be modified to eliminate those tasks on a temporary basis to return the employee to work faster.
If needed, correspondence can be developed which lists the job, physical capacity of the job, job duties, hours and days of work, pay rate, fringe benefits, start date and time. This correspondence is usually mailed to the worker through the US Postal System with some sort of delivery confirmation.
